T56 To Transfer Case. T56 RearSeal Cobra Transmission Hi all, so I was looking for parts for an idea I had earlier today and part of it requires converting a T56 magnum to accept a bolt on transfer case, although I haven't decided on what t case I'm going to use yet It's not close to the T56 Magnum, which is really a TR6060 built for aftermarket use.

Is there any way to marry a T56 to any transfer case? Would it be better to have a T56 and use a divorced transfer case? Thanks! There is a T56 conversion to a 4wd/AWD transfer case but it is ultra expensive, several thousand last I heard It's not close to the T56 Magnum, which is really a TR6060 built for aftermarket use. One thing to note, if you get a GM F car T56 with a 27 tooth output shaft, the spline matches perfectly with the Borg Warner 44-72 AWD Tcase found in the S-10 based vehicles (Syclones, Typhoons, Bravadas & Astro vans) so there's no need for mainshaft modifications
